WHY PAY $70,000 TOO MUCH FOR A SCISSOR LIFT WHEN YOU CAN HAVE A SPEED-LIFT?All Speed-Lifts have been designed and built to cut operational costs dramatically where docks are not feasible. The exceptional return on investment compared with scissor lifts is made possible because a solid foundation for long-term total profitability, and not simply lowest initial price, is built into each Speed-Lift. Even in operations with modest volume it is not uncommon for a single Speed-Lift to save in excess of $70,000 when all areas affecting profitability are considered over the long useful life of a Speed-Lift. For example: One Speed-Lift with the Lateral Track Mobility (LTM) option replaced three scissor lifts which were only seven months old at a store of a major supermarket chain. Dramatic improvement was realized in receiving productivity, in equipment dependability, and in improved safety with the single Speed-Lift replacement. Productivity for unloading and loading trucks is often boosted by 25% to 60% or more, when Speed-Lifts are compared with scissor lifts. Particularly when you own the trucks, and especially when several trucks are waiting their turn to load or unload, the speed of turnarounds will save you plenty. Tractor, trailer, and driver total cost averages between $75/hour and $95/hour or more, depending upon the type of rig and the area of operation. Remember to include the saving for wages with benefits for others needed to help load or unload in addition to the driver. Dependability with low maintenance and repair, coupled with a Speed-Lift design life of double to triple that of most scissor lifts, puts Speed-Lift owners significantly ahead when a 15 year profitability period, or longer, is considered. Include not only the typical repair cost for breakdowns but also the lost productivity and disruption to operations which may be involved. Note particularly what repair personnel say about ease of making frequent scissor lift repairs in an often filthy pit under a blocked up potentially lethal platform. Breakage and Damage of product may be caused when pallet or cart unit loads are subjected to the joltingly sudden movements of all-on/all-off controls found on scissor lifts. In addition, by design most scissor lifts must increase their speed appreciably just as they near ground level, creating a substantial impact as they reach the ground. Instead of nearly dropping each load at ground level, the variable speed hydraulic controls found on Speed-Lifts permit super smooth and gentle platform movement which protects loads from breakage and damage. Shrinkage of product due to theft by employees and others is reduced when receiving and shipping doors are unlocked during shorter periods of time. In addition, when EZ-lnstall Speed-Lifts are positioned inside using wall doors at truck height equipped with weather seals and bumpers, security is further strengthened.
